George Washington was born on February 22,1732. He was born in Virginia. His father died when he was 11. George had one brother and one sister. He liked to fish and boat but he liked to ride his horse the best.

In 1783 when George Washington was 21 he joined the Virginia army. When George was 26 he fell in love with Martha Custis. They had two children. He became president in 1789.

George Washington made the 13 colonies 13 states. He was the first presidant of the United States. He was reelected.

When George was 26, he got maried to Martha Custis. She was a wealthy widow with two children and they moved to Mount Vernon which once was owned by George's brother. Colanist's were dumping tea into the harbor rather than pay taxes on it. The war soon got poor on suplies for George's soilders. The war finaly ended and George became a hero. George signed a treatiye and became president.

George Washington was elected president and then signed a treatiye. He got reelected in 1789. The first thirteen colanies became the first thirteen states. He went to Pennsylvania to force farmers to pay their taxes or they will go to jail. Eight years later,George returned to Mount Vernon. A bunch of workers were building a town which became a city which became a state. So they named the state after George so they called it Washington. George Washington became ill and died in 1799. We will always rember George Washington.
