A continuum of services is available for Pine City’s special needs learners. At the second grade level, Title I and special ed. are available. Interventions that might be made include an increased amount of instructional time, changes in methods and/or materials modified expectations, etc. Special education is offered according to the guidelines for the St. Croix River Education District. Pine City also has a school psychologist and a school nurse.
