Greetings!
I hope the first week of school was a smooth transition.
One thing we discussed at the meeting, ordering PTO Volunteer
T-shirts. We will have a bulk order of shirts available
for special events. The intention will be to ask volunteers to
wear the shirts, and then return them after the event.
However, some members are interested in ordering their own
shirt. If you would like your own Pine
Dragons PTO shirt, that says VOLUNTEER on the back, would
you please hit reply with your size and get a check to the PTO
for $8. We will add your personal order to our group order.
Venue
night is back! Pine City businesses have partnered with
the PTO to have a special night of the month where a portion of
sales are donated directly to the PTO. Our September business is
Cabin Coffee. Please mark your calendar for September
22nd. Cabin Coffee will donate 10% of total
sales to the Pine Dragons PTO.
Cabin Coffee is located across
from PC Elementary school. They are open very early and have
great coffees, specialty drinks, bakery, and deli menu items to
choose from. If you have any questions please contact Kristen at

Parents: We
received a request from 5th grade teachers. Are you available to
help at the school from 12:30- 1:30 to help check math facts?
The teachers could use your help. If this sounds like something
you can do would you contact Diane at

Upcoming Events
that we need your help on.
The first is October
8th. There is a Nationwide movement to rally 1 million
people to read Eric Carle's book the Hungry Caterpillar for "Read
A Thon", this is being promoted in our school by Jerry
Lotz from Ameri-Corp. We would like to be a part of this!
K-2 Teachers:
Will you be able to do this on that day? If so what time would
work best?
Parents: We need
17 volunteers who could be available this day to read the story
in classrooms.
Also, not even one month away is our
Fall Carnival,
Saturday, October 10th
from noon-3 (rain or shine). We need help!
*We need
parents
who would be able to volunteer to help run gaming booths,
concessions, and money for the day. (Go-to-person is Jeanna
O'Donovan

*Do you have any
farm animals that could be part of the petting zoo? We
have lamb and goats right now. (Go-to-person is Buffy Johanson:
bajohans@co.pine.mn.us ).
*We need items/baskets donated for the Silent Auction.
Do you have candy, toys,
clothes, gifts that would make a great basket? We could
use your donations. Please hit reply if you can help.
