Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Adult Basic Education provides educational opportunities for adults to gain or strengthen basic skills. Classes are open between 3:30 and 6:30 PM on Wednesdays or 8:30 – 1:00 on Fridays – call ahead for summer hours.

Basic Skill Development

• Improve reading, writing, math and basic computer skills    
• Explore career and educational options        
• Create job-seeking materials

Adult Diploma

• Over 21?  Complete a HS diploma through independent course work and life skills

GED Preparation

• Prepare for the GED test through pretests and skill development classes

ALC High School Program
Need your high school diploma?
Do you meet our guidelines?

• performs substantially below grade/performance level
• is at least on year behind in completing course work or obtaining credits for graduation
• pregnant or parenting
• has been assessed as chemically dependent
• has been physically or sexually abused
• has experienced mental health problems
• has been homeless sometime during the last six months
• has limited English proficiency or speak English as a second language
• has been referred by a school district for enrollment in an eligible nontraditional program
• has been excluded or expelled

*Independent study, Online Nova Net or classroom setting (6 – 15 students per class)
